Welcome to the NASA Launch Services Program (LSP) Performance Web Site
This site, NASA's only official site for expendable launch vehicle performance
information, is maintained by the Flight Dynamics Branch of the LSP. Through
this forum we are able to provide timely and convenient access to the performance
data representative of the most common orbits for all launch vehicles that are
currently available via NASA contracting mechanisms.
New Data and Features
-
We're working to make Antares data available on the web site as soon as we can. Until then, please
contact us for Antares performance.
-
The NLS-II performance data is available to the NASA spacecraft customer community in bulk format. Upon
request, we can provide a spreadsheet that includes the web site data in a format that may be more convenient
to some users. The spreadsheet is only intended as a supplement; this web site will remain
as the official location of the most current contractual data. Send an email to
Eric.M.Haddox@nasa.gov if you are interested in receiving a copy.
Launch Vehicles/Performance on NLS-II
Launch vehicle performance for those vehicles currently on contract with
NASA is accessible by contract or by desired orbit. To help meet the needs
of our customers, we have also provided a
mission design capabilities page
to highlight some of the in-house analyses and studies we can perform.
The NLS-II contract does include limited capability for the Delta II launch vehicle, up to a total of
5 missions. Visit our Delta II page
and/or contact us to learn more about the stipulations
for the Delta II.

Performance Tools
These tools have been updated to reflect the new vehicles and associated performance. While a
thorough test process has been implemented to verify the data and functionality, please immediately
let us know if there are any issues in using these tools.
Performance Graph Tool
- Plot the performance capabilities for up to 5 launch vehicles for a selected orbit.
Performance Query Tool
- Users can query the performance database for performance to specific orbits.
